Give goods
Furniture, whitegoods and household items in good working order. Tell us what you have and our team will be in touch to arrange a collection.
Offer your goods
There is no obligation. We will contact you to talk through what you have and, if we can use it, arrange a time.
How collection works
- 1Tell us what you haveUse the form, or phone the warehouse.
- 2We get in touchWe will confirm whether we can use it and what it involves.
- 3We book a timeCollections run Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm.
- 4Our crew collects itTwo volunteers, a truck, and no charge to you beyond the collection fee where one applies.
Our pick-up team usually needs around three weeks’ notice.
What we can take
- Lounges, armchairs and sofa beds
- Dining tables and chairs
- Beds, bed frames and clean mattresses
- Wardrobes, drawers, bedside tables and bookshelves
- Fridges, freezers, washing machines and dryers in working order
- Kitchenware, crockery, cutlery and small appliances
- Clean linen, blankets and towels
What we cannot take
Everything WERN gives out goes to a family who has lost their home or is starting again. It has to be something we would be glad to receive ourselves.
- Anything damaged, stained, torn or broken
- Mattresses that are soiled or sagging
- Electrical items that do not work
- Built-in or flat-pack furniture that cannot be moved safely
- Clothing, books, toys and bric-a-brac
Our volunteers may decline goods that are not needed or are damaged. Disposing of unusable items costs WERN money that would otherwise help someone.
