Give goods

Furniture, whitegoods and household items in good working order. Tell us what you have, send a few photos, and our team will be in touch to arrange a collection.

There is no obligation. We will contact you to talk through what you have and, if we can use it, arrange a time. WERN asks for a $100 donation with each collection, which helps keep the truck on the road.

Our truck and two volunteers travel to every collection, so seeing the condition first saves a wasted trip.

How collection works

  3. 3We book a timeCollections run Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm.
  4. 4You make a $100 donationRunning the truck is the largest cost in a collection, so the donation goes straight back into fuel and keeping it on the road. If the $100 is a genuine hardship, please let us know rather than deciding not to donate at all.
  5. 5Our crew collects itTwo volunteers and a truck. Around three weeks notice is usually needed.

  • Modular or corner couches
  • Exercise equipment
  • BBQs
  • Outdoor furniture
  • Clothes
  • Shoes
  • Toys
  • Books
  • Baby goods, including cots, prams and car seats
  • Glass door or shelved units, particularly modular buffet units
  • Study or office desks and furniture
  • Any cabinet, buffet unit, desk or wardrobe wider than 1.5 metres, over 2 metres high, or considered heavy
  • Non-essential electrical items
  • Heavy timber beds, including bunks
  • Couches wider than 2.1 metres
  • Dining chairs not in a set of four or more
  • Garbage, or trash and treasure leftovers

Please note

  • All electrical items must not have cords that are frayed, torn or damaged.
  • All items must be in good condition, not torn, worn out or dirty.
  • WERN and its drivers reserve the right to decline items considered unsuitable for its needs.
