Run entirely by volunteers

The whole workforce is volunteers — from administration and warehouse management to the truck crews who collect donations from homes. WERN is supported and managed by 14 Rotary Clubs across Melbourne’s north and west, along with local councils and businesses.

Goods are collected, tested, repaired and cleaned before they go out. Whitegoods and electrical items are checked and tagged by qualified testers.

Case managers from 52 accredited partner agencies bring clients to the warehouse to choose what they need.
